Compliance Manager - Hedge Fund

Our client is a specialist hedge fund, HQ'd in London. After recent good performance and the recent launch of new funds, they are now looking to add a Compliance Manager to their existing team in London.

Reporting into the Chief Compliance Officer, the Compliance Manager will be expected to perform a broad generalised compliance role, with an emphasis on Surveillance tasks.

Duties will include:

  • Surveillance monitoring for best execution, market abuse and market manipulation
  • Monitoring the firm's shareholder disclosures responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain the compliance monitoring programme
  • Provide regulatory advice to senior stakeholders
  • Conduct thematic reviews
  • Maintain, update and implement compliance policies and procedures

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 5-7+ years compliance experience, ideally within a hedge fund or investment manager
  • Strong understanding of surveillance, ideally within equities
