Job description
Triple West Medical has been appointed by an NHS Trust based in South West England to help recruit a Consultant Haematologist for a substantive basis, and they would also consider a Locum Consultant on a 12 Months FTC.
They are one of the largest NHS Trusts in the region providing acute and community services and cover a population of over 500,000 with over 7,000 staff. The department has an active interest in clinical research and is now seeking a new member to join their team.
Responsibilities:
- Work in a team of consultants and junior doctors managing Haematological conditions.
- Manage both inpatients and outpatients.
- Participate in the out-of-hours On-Call service for the department, including being on-call for telephone advice and major incidents.
- Engage in medical audit and research as appropriate.
- Ensure that the requirements of clinical governance are met.
- Supervise and manage junior medical staff.
- Devote time to teaching, examination, and accreditation duties as required for junior medical staff.
