Join our Team!

We are excited to be recruiting a part-time Dental Nurse to join our friendly and welcoming team at Muirhead Dental Care. This role involves working 3 days a week on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays.

The entire team at Muirhead Dental Care believes in providing the best possible care to both our NHS and private patients. Under the NHS, we provide a broad range of treatments, including examinations, fillings, crowns, veneers, bridges, dentures, root canal treatment, and scaling/polishing. We also have a wide range of private treatments to offer, including cosmetic dentistry and facial aesthetics.

Within our dental team, we have amassed over 100 years of experience in dentistry. This means we are well-practised in providing the best dental care to our patients.

We are located on Muirhead’s main street, just off the A80. Parking is available both outside the practice, on the street, and at the nearby car park next to the supermarket.

Your Role

You will be responsible for providing chair side support in all day-to-day activities within the practice and surgeries. You will play an important role in ensuring the delivery of excellent patient care while complying with all clinical and health & safety guidance.

Other duties include:

  1. Creating a welcoming environment for patients that sets them at ease from the outset.
  2. Maximising the use of the internal system (Software of Excellence) to ensure accurate patient records are maintained.
  3. Ensuring the surgery is set up appropriately for each session throughout the day to maximise the efficiency of the practice and surgery utilisation.
  4. Anticipating the requirements of the clinician and patient in advance of their session and ensuring necessary lab work and equipment is in place.
  5. Monitoring surgery stocks to ensure that appropriate stock levels are maintained.
  6. Undertaking reception duties when required, including answering the telephone, making appointments, and collecting patient charges.

About You

  1. Must be GDC registered.
  2. Must have experience working in Private / NHS practices.
  3. Willing to demonstrate the highest levels of patient care.
  4. The ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team.
  5. Enthusiastic, with an appetite to learn and develop new skills.
