Always at the forefront of product development and innovation, they have continually invested in new facilities and the latest technologies.

About the NPD Food Technologist job

This is an exciting opportunity for a food graduate with some NPD experience to join an energetic, innovative, and friendly food product development team which has some exciting projects underway. This role will give you the opportunity to work closely with major food retailers and provides fantastic exposure to learning the entire food NPD process from concept to launch.

  1. Idea generation, recipe design, and arranging new materials as well as writing specifications.
  2. Interfacing with production teams and attending customer presentations, project meetings, and factory trials.
  3. Shelf-life assessments and factory quality taste panels and generating ideas.
  4. Liaising with customers.
  5. Application work (cooking whilst always maintaining good housekeeping and cleanliness throughout workstations).

About you

The successful candidate should have at least one year’s experience within a similar role in the food manufacturing industry as well as a food-related degree.

The NPD Food Technologist job is based in Kent and is paying £28,000 - £31,000 according to your experience.

The package includes 33 days of annual leave (including bank holidays), Christmas shutdown, and contribution to your pension at a rate of 5.5%.

The working hours are Monday to Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm with the flexibility to work at home on a regular basis which would be 2 days per week once the role has been established.
