Job Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic physiotherapist to join our newly developed rotational programme. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to gain valuable diverse experience within the community working across a number of services delivering care to inpatients, outpatients, and in patient homes. Rotations are six months and include the Community Respiratory Team, Musculoskeletal Outpatients, Inpatient Intermediate Care Unit, Sub-acute Medical Wards, and Neurological Rehabilitation wards with placements across Birmingham.

This post offers an exciting challenge to work across multiple specialities developing holistic assessment skills to manage a wide range of conditions across different aspects of community healthcare. This is an ideal opportunity for a dynamic, pro-active clinician to be part of our team requiring innovation and creativity in the post to help shape the future delivery of therapy care.

Main Responsibilities

  • To be responsible for the clinical diagnosis, assessment, and ongoing physiotherapeutic management of In-Patients.
  • To provide physiotherapy on the bedded units/gym setting and to undertake assessments of patients in their own homes prior to discharge.
  • To work with and provide support to more junior colleagues, PT students on placement, and work experience students.
  • To act as a source of advice and information for colleagues of all disciplines, patients, and their carers/relatives.
  • To promote and maintain the ethos of PT in all clinical and professional activities.

Applicant Requirements
You must have appropriate UK professional registration. This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
