Job Title
Account Manager
The Role
The Account Manager performs a lead role in client interactions prior to sale. Post sale, you will act as a primary client liaison, ensuring a seamless and high-quality customer experience.
You will be responsible for managing the relationships between the client and the wider Spotlight team, through effective account leadership. Although the delivery of a project will be the responsibility of the Technical & Logistics Manager you will be taking full responsibility for the overall customer journey prior, during and after an event.
In this client-facing position, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing and expanding our portfolio of existing clients to ensure the retention of current business, as well as proactively developing new business with new clients for the company. The role requires the ability to identify potential revenue streams beyond traditional event services, building strong relationships across client organisations.

The Account Manager will report to the Director.
Responsibilities and Duties
Happy Customers
- Develop and grow client relationships identifying opportunities from initial request through to contractual confirmation in a prompt and professional manner
- Operate as a key point of contact for all event related enquiries, ensuring clear and consistent communication throughout the planning and delivery process
- Creating proposals that satisfy client budgets while maintaining expected margins and overall commercial viability
- Proactively identify areas for innovation and improvement within each event service
- Build & foster outstanding customer loyalty by finding opportunities to wow the client
- Conduct initial site visits to understand client needs and project requirements
- Prepare and present detailed quote to clients using stock sheets to accurately allocate and reserve stock to event
- Negotiate terms and close deals to win projects
- Assign engineers and technicians efficiently balancing skills and availability while coordinating with the hire department to ensure there are no clashes

- Liaise closely with the Delivery Teams to ensure project transition smoothly from sales to execution
- Effectively communicate and handover to the relevant people project details to ensure exceptional delivery every time
- Develop and maintain best practices and refine internal processes to ensure our team can deliver on your clients expectations
Make a Commercial Contribution
- Build relationships with clients to make Spotlight Sound the preferred partner for their event needs and a business that they are excited to refer
- Explore partnership opportunities with a variety of venues, event industry suppliers and other industry stakeholders
- Actively build and maintain a pipeline of new opportunities & leads to ensure sustainable growth
- Represent the company professionally at events seeking opportunities and strategies
General Responsibilities and Duties
- Being knowledgeable about the services offered by Spotlight Sound
- Maintaining a positive attitude that inspires co-workers and clients to grow the business
Person Specification
We are looking for applicants who are motivated, confident, and have pride in what they do.
The successful candidate must have:
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with people of all professional levels
- Have previous strong experience and knowledge from a similar role
- Be familiar with AV, sound, lighting and video equipment
- Commercially astute: have a high level of business and commercial awareness
- Show attention to detail and good time management skills
- Be presentable, polite and punctual
Skills and Qualifications
- Have at least 5 years’ experience in a similar role
- Proven ability managing and supporting high level clients
- Proven ability managing events and / or venues
- Full UK driver’s license
- Experience with HireTrack Software
- Experience with HubSpot CRM Software
Hours of Work
Standard working hours will be 37.5 per week, with time off in lieu for additional hours worked. In very busy periods it may not be possible for time off to be taken in lieu in any given month, therefore overtime may be paid where necessary.
