The Role: As an Account Director, you will take the lead in managing client accounts, developing new business opportunities, and driving commercial success for the agency. This is a senior role requiring strong leadership, strategic thinking, and exceptional communication skills. You will be responsible for guiding account teams, delivering high-quality PR programmes, and ensuring clients receive top-tier counsel and results.

This hybrid-role will be based from our central London or Tunbridge Wells office, as well as from home.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead client accounts, overseeing strategy and execution while providing senior counsel
  2. Ensure excellence across all aspects of PR and communications programmes, maintaining high-quality client relationships
  3. Drive media relations strategy, including journalist engagement, pitching, and crisis management
  4. Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell services to existing clients
  5. Attend networking events to showcase the agency’s expertise and foster relationships
  6. Develop winning client proposals and play a key role in new business pitches
  7. Monitor and manage account performance against commercial and utilisation targets
  8. Act as a positive role model and provide mentorship to junior team members.

What We’re Looking For:

  1. Proven experience in a senior PR or communications role (5 years +)
  2. Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
  3. Exceptional media relations experience
  4. Track record of successfully managing client relationships
  5. Confident leader who can inspire, mentor, and develop teams
  6. Excellent writing, presentation, and communication skills
  7. Ability to identify risks, manage crisis situations, and provide expert counsel to clients
  8. Commercially astute, with a keen eye for spotting new business opportunities.
