Job description

Business Development Manager – Microsoft Security

Up to £90,000 base salary (+ c£150,000 OTE) + Benefits

Remote (UK) – Must be a UK resident

The scenario...

We have partnered with a Microsoft managed partner and a Microsoft Intelligent Security Association (MISA) member closely aligned to Microsoft UK for SMC and Enterprise security opportunities. It's a fantastic opportunity to join an established and well-known elite Microsoft Security specialist with a global presence and an incredibly strong Microsoft Security relationship inside Microsoft both in the UK and now globally including the US.

The company...

The organisation provides Managed and Professional Microsoft Security services and has been succeeding heavily in managed services (MDR/MXDR), partly due to their unique IP helping them grow their Microsoft XDR services business opportunities from the teams at Microsoft through their innovation and ability to effectively onboard customers into service at pace.

As they begin to scale this successful seller team to drive growth as well as Microsoft revenue, they now require 2 or more Microsoft security specialist sellers at different levels. The senior will understand the Microsoft Security (SCI) ecosystem and how to sell with Microsoft; the other role will consider somebody who has sold these services but is looking to specialise and develop knowledge of how and who to sell with inside Microsoft.

The organisation is a MISA (Microsoft Intelligence Security Association) member, a regular finalist in the global security awards, and has the usual framework status positions you'd expect.

The Role...

  • Help drive, win and expand new Microsoft Security services customers through their journey.
  • Use your business development skills and Microsoft security services knowledge including MXDR to gain new customers and build them onto their services journey (6-12-18 months) before working with the Account Management team to manage ongoing parts of this.
  • Collaborate and communicate with newly engaged clients with the view to grow client accounts and provide customer success and satisfaction.
  • Engage with Microsoft stakeholders in specialist team units to explore co-sell opportunities and drive new customer opportunities at SMC and Enterprise.
  • Build, develop and nurture Microsoft and customer relationships and work collaboratively.
  • Attend events from both Microsoft and the industry including private partner events to help create and explore new customer opportunities and build the organisation's market presence.

Responsibilities...

  • Lead the growth of business within new accounts
  • Build relationships with prospective clients and Microsoft
  • Create and manage sales pipeline
  • Maintain consistent contact with existing clients
  • Track varying metrics to ensure targets are hit
  • Work closely with customers to understand their security posture and identify solutions
  • Using expert knowledge to guide and advise customers on suitable security services

Key Experience...

  • Experience in full sales cycle including deal closing sales success
  • Experience working with a Microsoft Managed and/or Professional Security Services
  • Understand the Microsoft SCI stack and enterprise licensing model across EDR, MDR, MXDR, Azure, and MW Security
  • Experience discussing prospective solutions with customers
  • Working to deadlines and have successfully achieved sales targets for security services
