Job summary
An established industry player is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer for a twelve-month contract within the Combat Air line of business. This role focuses on developing systems for advanced defensive aids, particularly for the Typhoon platform. Principal Systems Engineer
- 12 month min contract
** Please note we can only consider sole UK Nationals (no dual nationalities)**
We have an opportunity for a Principal Systems Engineer to join our team within the Combat Air line of business for a twelve-month Contract as part of the team working on our systems for Typhoon.
This role will focus on supporting the development of systems for Typhoon Defensive Aids Systems.
A role within the team will provide exposure to EW products and subject-matter experts with expertise within domain, product, and technology fields.
- Engaging with stakeholders, defining requirements for a new system
- Conducting cost and functional performance trade-offs and evaluation of proposed solutions
- Designing and integrating new functionality into an existing system
- Modelling a system to understand observed simulated performance
- Development of capability within limitations and constraints of the target hardware
- Creation of Test Plans and Requirements for Verification and Validation of sub-systems
- Creation of Integration Plans for unit integration into the full system
- Technical Discussions with suppliers and customers
- Document management to support design review activities
Knowledge of the systems engineering lifecycle, particularly in the following areas:
