A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Primary 3D Layout Designer for AC substations, you will focus on delivering high-quality primary 3D layout designs that align with our project timelines and established processes. You'll dive into your work, demonstrating your understanding of layout and primary equipment for substation projects up to 400kV. You'll collaborate closely with civil teams and other interfaces, ensuring detailed coordination to bring your layout designs to life!

How You'll Make an Impact

1. Deliver a high-quality primary 3D layout design of AC substations in line with the agreed delivery timescales.
2. Adhere to high standards of layout and primary equipment for substations projects up to 400kV.
3. Coordinate with civil teams and other interfaces for delivering the layout design, taking ownership and accountability for layout design delivery.
4. Be fully conversant with Health & Safety standards (including CDM regulations) applicable to the design of High Voltage substations.

What You Bring

1. Experience in 3D layout of AC substation design, specifically in Revit.
2. Previous experience as a layout engineer having delivered primary layout design, preferably in substation design.
3. Knowledge of coordination with civil design models is preferred.
4. Fully conversant with Health & Safety standards (including CDM regulations).
5. HNC/HND in electrical or mechanical design is essential.
6. Good written communication and interpersonal skills.
