5+ years' experience as a Mechanical Fitter or similar role.
Strong knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

Maintaining and repairing HGVs and military vehicles.
Diagnosing faults using technical manuals and diagnostic tools.

We're looking for an experienced Mechanical Fitter to be part of an exciting multi-year MOD project at a brand-new manufacturing facility in Stockport, Greater Manchester. If you're skilled in mechanical maintenance and want to work on cutting-edge military equipment, this is an opportunity you don't want to miss.

Monday - Thursday, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm (Early finish Fridays - 12:00 pm)

What will you be doing as a Mechanical Fitter?

Working on one of the largest MOD projects ever awarded
Maintaining and repairing HGVs and heavy-duty military vehicles
Diagnosing faults using technical manuals & diagnostic tools
Implementing safety, quality, and compliance procedures
Collaborating with a skilled team in a high-tech environment

What do you need?

5+ years' experience as a Mechanical Fitter / Vehicle Technician / Vehicle Fitter
Mechanical Engineering Certification (City & Guilds / NVQ) - desirable
Experience in vehicle assembly or maintenance (desirable)
Strong knowledge of hydraulic & pneumatic systems
A military background (advantageous)
Excellent problem-solving & teamwork skills
