Base pay range

Inclusive Consulting is excited to partner with an industry leading UK organisation. We are recruiting an experienced Credit Control Manager to join their team in Leeds. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead and develop a high-performing credit control team, drive efficiencies, and play a key role in optimising cash flow and minimising bad debts.

Role Responsibilities

  • Lead, motivate, and manage the credit control team to achieve departmental goals and KPIs.
  • Develop and implement strategies to minimise bad debts and improve cash flow.
  • Monitor and review outstanding accounts, ensuring timely and effective collection of overdue payments.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to ensure prompt payment and resolve any disputes.
  • Work closely with internal departments such as sales, finance, and customer service to ensure smooth collaboration.
  • Develop and enforce credit policies and procedures to mitigate risk.
  • Perform regular credit assessments of new and existing customers to set appropriate credit limits.
  • Prepare and present reports on accounts receivable, aged debt, and collection performance to senior management.
  • Train, mentor, and develop the credit control team to support their professional growth.
  • Resolve escalated customer issues and implement solutions to reduce bad debts.

Person Specification

  • Proven experience as a credit control manager or in a similar role.
  • Strong leadership abilities with experience managing and motivating a team.
  • Ability to analyse data, assess risks, and implement strategies to improve cash flow.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
