Senior Data Engineers for large West Midlands based client

My client is seeking to recruit Senior Data Engineers to join its expanding IT operation.

To be considered for these positions you will need to have experience in the following areas:

1. Good Data Engineering / ETL development experience
2. Data design experience in an MI / BI / Analytics environment (for example Kimball, lake house, data lake)
3. Good experience working in a structured Change Management project lifecycle
4. Excellent Data Warehouse skills
5. A strong knowledge of business intelligence solutions and an ability to translate this into data solutions for the broader business is essential.
6. Strong demonstrable knowledge of data warehouse methodologies
7. Robust understanding of high-level business processes
8. Understanding of data migration, including reconciliation, data cleanse and cutover

Additional skills include:

1. Extracting, reporting and manipulating data from a data warehouse environment
2. Transact SQL language or similar relational database background
3. Able to deliver complex data platforms and solutions
4. Business analysis skills

The role will be varied, challenging, exciting and will involve:

1. Leading solutions for data engineering
2. Maintaining both the design data that is held within the architecture
3. Ensuring data engineering best practices
4. Contributing to the development of database management services and associated processes relating to the delivery of data solutions
5. Providing requirements analysis, documentation, development, delivery and maintenance of data platforms
6. Developing database requirements in a structured and logical manner ensuring delivery is aligned with business prioritization and best practice
7. Designing and delivering performance enhancements, application migration processes and version upgrades across a pipeline of BI environments
8. Providing support for the scoping and delivery of BI capability to internal users
9. Ensuring high quality data and use of strategic data repositories, associated relational model, and Data Warehouse for optimizing the delivery of accurate, consistent and reliable business intelligence
