Job description

Teacher of Languages (Spanish Specialist)

Required: September 2025

Type: Full Time, fixed term until 31st August 2026

Salary: Competitive salary plus benefits

The Role

Sutton High School is seeking an engaging and passionate teacher with the ability to teach Spanish to A Level, to our highly motivated girls. It would be beneficial if you could teach a second language to KS3 level (French, Mandarin or German). In your application, please let us know the languages you can offer.

The successful candidate should have the capability to teach across the secondary age range in Spanish, creating challenging and thought-provoking lessons, with an emphasis on creativity and collaboration.

This role would suit an experienced teacher or an ECT, within a supportive department with superb ECT provision for professional development. At our school, girls want to learn, and you can focus on teaching your subject and enthusing them. Experienced teachers receive a generous planning allowance (20% PPA). For ECTs, additional planning time is given, and we have a comprehensive ECT mentoring programme.

This is a fixed term position, for one year.

Applications will be considered in the order in which they are received, and we reserve the right to close this vacancy early should a suitable applicant be found.
