Global Research & Development, a division of Engineering Test & Technology Supply Chain, is seeking a
Lead Procurement Agent to join our team. This position will be based in the UK.
The Role:You will play a crucial role in supporting Boeing's Global Research and Development organisation, collaborating with our international partners on research and development to build the future of Boeing. You will be responsible for developing and managing R&D collaboration strategies and agreements with selected partners, aligned to Boeing's business objectives, and securing the best value for The Boeing Company.
This is an exciting opportunity to drive cutting edge research by developing and executing on source selection, negotiation and contracting strategies that support the program objectives.
Position Responsibilities:- Act as an authorised agent of the company with responsibility for managing all supplier related activities and the authority to commit company resources through contracts and agreements.
- Lead the negotiation of Master Research Agreements, Collaboration Agreements, Intellectual Property Agreements, Purchase Agreement, and other contract types as required.
- Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with a globally dispersed group of customers, stakeholders, peers, and partners.
- Analyse proposals and estimates to determine fairness, reasonableness, and cost-effectiveness.
- Negotiate contract terms and pricing to maximise value.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with procurement activities, including supplier performance, contract terms, and delivery schedules.
- Lead process improvement teams and identify improvement opportunities for potential integration into supplier contract strategies.
- Develop and execute company strategic business goals and objectives.
- Serve as an expert consultant and spokesperson for Boeing on R&D collaboration strategy, agreements and proposal analyses.
- Embrace a lean mindset and identify efficiencies that can be implemented.
- Train and mentor other team members.
This position is hybrid.Work Authorisation:This requisition is for a locally hired position in the United Kingdom. Candidates must have current legal authorisation to work immediately in the respective country.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):- 5+ years of experience working directly with suppliers or supplier management.
- 5+ years of experience in negotiating contracts or managing supplier performance.
- 5+ years of experience in proposal development.
- 5+ years of experience working within a research and development focused role.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):- Experience developing negotiation strategies, drafting terms and conditions, and leading negotiation teams.
- Experience with government contracts, grants, university agreements, or related R&D projects/work.
- Experience working within a globally dispersed team.
- Demonstrated success in working independently, acting autonomously when making decisions.
- Bachelor's degree or higher (preferably in Law or Business related subject).

Travel:Position may require travel up to 20% of the time.
