Base pay range

A reputable architectural practice in the heart of Birmingham is seeking a qualified Architectural Technician or Technologist to join its passionate design team. This is an excellent opportunity for a talented professional with a strong background in residential design to contribute to exciting projects in a collaborative and supportive environment.

About the Company

This well-established practice delivers high-quality projects across Residential, Student Living, Care Homes, and Commercial sectors, with a strong emphasis on residential design. Due to recent project wins and continued growth, they are looking for a skilled Architectural Technician / Technologist to support their expanding workload, particularly in residential projects for national house builders.

Key Requirements

1. Strong knowledge of the residential / house building sector
2. Familiarity with current design standards applicable to residential projects
3. Experience running projects on-site (preferred)
4. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build rapport and maintain strong client relationships
5. Proven ability to work within a team to deliver successful working drawing packages
6. A proactive and ambitious approach, with a desire to progress within the company
7. A solid understanding of working drawings

Responsibilities

1. Ensuring project timescales are met for specific tasks delegated by the job runner
2. Collaborating with senior team members to future-proof designs for site delivery
3. Expanding your knowledge and developing your professional experience within a supportive and forward-thinking team

Software Proficiency

Candidates should be proficient in:

Photoshop (advantageous but not essential)
