Main purpose of the role:

The Social Media Manager role is to drive the development and execution of impactful social media strategies, working closely with the Head of Brand Marketing and cross-functional teams. Responsibilities include managing social media platforms and content, analysing performance metrics, overseeing content execution, and collaborating with both internal teams and external partners to enhance brand presence. This role is crucial for optimising social media efforts and achieving key engagement and growth objectives.

  • Manage the day-to-day handling of all social media channels such as Instagram, TikTok, X, LinkedIn, Facebook, Pinterest and YouTube, adapting content to suit different channels.
  • Lead on day-to-day management & co-ordination of our social media channels, increasing reach and engagement and working with the media team to manage any issues.
  • Ensure all content is on-brand, in the right tone, accurate, and delivered on time. This includes planning launch content, influencer management, and in-house content creation.
  • Identify new growth opportunities by monitoring cultural trends, analysing trend reports, and staying aware of emerging social platforms.
  • Analyse competitor activity and encourage the wider team to share insights. Develop, implement, and manage social media strategies for each platform.
  • Create engaging multimedia content across platforms by brainstorming creative concepts, presenting disruptive ideas, and capturing the attention of our target audience.
  • Maximise audience interaction and engagement across multiple platforms. Ensure organic strategy campaigns align with brand expectations for engagement, reach, and traffic.
  • Oversee the monthly social calendar, ensuring optimal content for brand promotion and channel growth, while integrating new themes and ideas into the existing strategy.
  • Serve as the go-to expert for all things related to AYBL’s social media, staying updated on daily developments in the social media landscape.
  • Support the Head of Brand Marketing and the brand team in managing larger-scale projects, such as integrated campaigns and seasonal or sale promotions, in collaboration with other in-house teams.

Requirements:

  • Will have a minimum of 2-3+ years working in a similar role
  • Extremely well-organised
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Energetic, self-motivated and proactive
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Enthusiasm for the field and eagerness to learn.
  • Skilled in utilising various social media platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, X, Pinterest, and YouTube.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment, working on multiple projects at one time.

Our home is located in Redditch, South Birmingham, with easy access routes to the M5/M42, a 20-minute walk to the train station, as well as many bus routes. Not forgetting Arrow Valley Lake which is a stone’s throw away and a beautiful spot to get those steps in or enjoy your lunch with a view.
