An established industry player is seeking motivated apprentices to train as Service Technicians. This exciting opportunity offers hands-on experience in crane maintenance and operations, combined with formal training leading to recognized qualifications. Over three years, you will work closely with experienced professionals, gaining essential skills in electrical and mechanical systems while ensuring safety standards are met. On completion of the training and subject to consideration of ability, aptitude and successful college results, it is expected that you will qualify as a Service Technician. Once qualified, you will be responsible for providing a variety of inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs.
Pay review every September throughout the duration of the Apprenticeship.
Training course: Maintenance and operations engineering technician (level 3)
Hours: Monday - Friday. Hours to be confirmed.
39 hours a week
Duration: 3 years
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
Apprenticeships include time away from working for specialist training. You’ll study to gain professional knowledge and skills.

In your first year, you will attend a local college for off-the-job training, and you’ll also attend your local branch during holidays to help gain further understanding of our business and the nature of the work carried out.
In your 2nd and 3rd year, you’ll gain on-the-job training in the field.

Willingness to stay and travel away from home on a regular basis; this includes being away for blocks of 1 week at our training in our UK Training Centre in Banbury. Willingness to work in other UK districts for periods of time (hotel and food subsistence paid for). You must live local/within commuting distance of the branch location.

Once qualified as a Service Technician, you may wish to look at specializing in one of the other sectors such as modernizations, waste to energy, and projects.
