Job description

We are working with a dynamic and rapidly growing accountancy practice based in Brighton, who pride themselves on delivering exceptional service and developing strong relationships with their clients.

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Accounts Assistant Manager to join their team.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage, support, and develop a diverse portfolio of clients.
  2. Plan and prioritize client accounts work, establishing scope and budget for each task.
  3. Directly work with clients to strengthen relationships and expand advisory services.
  4. Support and manage the office team, including work plan allocations and team training.
  5. Supervise team members, ensuring effective communication and providing updates on task progress.
  6. Prepare and review advisory work, including management accounts, cashflow forecasting, and VAT returns.
  7. Manage portfolio operations, including timely billing, WIP reviews, and debtor collection.
  8. Represent the firm at networking events to build our local profile and identify new business opportunities.

Qualifications and Skills:

  1. ACA/ACCA qualified or qualified by experience.
  2. Proven experience in an accountancy role, preferably within a practice.
  3. Strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  5. Adaptable and flexible team player.
  6. Strong client relationship management skills.
