We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior People Operations Generalist to join our growing global People team. As the lead People Operations contact in the UK, you will play a crucial role in shaping the employee experience, fostering a positive and productive work environment, and ensuring smooth People Operations for our UK colleagues. This is a brand new role for Recursion and as such the successful candidate will play a huge part in designing and building the People function in the UK. In this role, you will

• Be the primary point of contact for all People Operations-related matters for Recursion employees based in the UK, ensuring compliance with UK employment law.
• Actively participate in the global People Operations team, contributing to the development and implementation of People initiatives and programs.
• Proactively identify and address employee relations issues, providing guidance and support to employees and managers.
• Take ownership of global immigration and visas for all employees.
• Manage and optimize the use of our HRIS system (HiBob) in the UK, including implementing new features, improving and automating processes, and ensuring data integrity.
• Identify opportunities to leverage technology and automation to enhance the employee experience and streamline People Operations.
• Work closely with the global Payroll team, providing support and data as necessary.

The Experience You’ll Need

• 6+ years of experience as a People Generalist, with proven experience in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. A CIPD qualification is desirable but proven, hands-on HR experience is much more important to us.
• Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and compliance including UK Immigration practices.
• Experience managing employee relations issues and providing guidance to employees and managers.
• Experience building and using systems (we use HiBob and CultureAmp) and operational excellence.
• Confidence and ability to work independently whilst also operating as part of a global team.
• A passion for technology and a strong understanding of how AI and automation can be used to improve the employee experience.

Working Location:

This position is based at our office located in London. Please note that we are a hybrid environment and ask that employees spend 50% of their time in the office. We would also expect some infrequent travel to other office locations in the UK, USA and Canada.
