Job description

Operations is at the heart of Amazon's customer experience and differentiation. The EU Amazon Customer Excellence System (ACES) Team is responsible for driving step-change improvements in the performance of Amazon's European Operations from vendor through to customer. We work backwards from the customer and define new innovative solutions that raise the bar on customer experience and speed whilst constantly lowering our cost of fulfilment and supporting our continued high growth.


The Project Management team works on the top strategic projects and opportunities across the European operations influencing business-critical decisions and taking the performance of the operations to the next level. We are looking for exceptionally talented Business Analysts to be part of the core team within ACES. As a business analyst you will be a key member of the project management team and help solve complex operational challenges to improve the efficiency of Amazon European Operations. Your work will be a key contribution to the design, test and implementation of solutions aiming to achieve excellence in our operations.


Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop data collection approach that will help define and improve the operational performance
  2. Extract and analyze data to provide key insights that create a coherent, data driven storyline
  3. Automate reports and build dashboards to monitor the impact of implemented solutions
  4. Contribute in process design workshops and problem solving sessions
  5. Formulate & test hypotheses with project team
  6. Understand operational process on the floor to identify issues and support in driving changes
  7. Collect feedback and adjust analysis/ dashboards to meet customer needs
  8. Work closely with other key stakeholders of the project (e.g., Operations, Finance, Retail, Supply Chain)

The role is ideal for Business Analysts that want to progress into project management. The role requires travel as per project needs. This is a 10 month FTC.


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  1. Bachelors Degree
  2. Experience conducting large scale data analysis to support business decision making
  3. Proficient extracting and processing data using SQL
  4. Proven ability to thoroughly understand processes and use data to identify improvement opportunities
  5. Ability to present Data to a wide audience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  1. Intermediate scripting skills (preferably Python)
  2. Minitab/ Tableau
  3. Project management experience
