Must hold an enhanced DBS disclosure issued within the last 12 months.

General maintenance, DIY, and overseeing health and safety.

School Caretaker/Site Assistant to work within a school in Willenhall, required immediately.

As a caretaker/site assistant you will be responsible for:

Unlocking and locking up the school site as well as individual departments
Keeping the school grounds maintained and tidied
General maintenance, DIY - fixing and putting furniture together, painting
Assisting with any school deliveries
Overseeing the school's health and safety, carrying out fire drills/tests
Checking fire extinguishers and other health and safety aspects of the school
Liaising with contractors and escorting them around the site
Setting up classrooms and halls for assemblies and parents' evenings
Gardening and outdoor site maintenance - lawn mowing, using a strimmer, weeding, litter picking
General cleaning

Requirements:

Previous experience working as a school caretaker
Must hold an enhanced DBS disclosure issued within the last 12 months or on the update service

About You:

Able to work well in a team
Can work well individually
Able to follow instructions
Must be reliable
Excellent timekeeping

Hours: Monday to Friday 6am-2pm or 11.30am-6pm
