Job description

We are looking for a Risk Reporting Engineer to support the Risk Team in monitoring and communicating project risks effectively. This role is ideal for someone with strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and an eagerness to learn about risk management. You will play a key role in ensuring risk data is up to date, supporting reporting activities, and improving risk awareness across the project.

Role Responsibility
  • Assisting the Risk Manager with periodic risk reporting including gathering data, collecting data and reporting the data on proper templates.
  • Engaging with the different teams (Assets and Disciplines) to achieve an overall understanding of the project risks and their interdependencies.
  • Actively monitoring and managing the data on Xactium, including reporting the gaps to the risk team ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and timely updates.
  • Cross referencing the risks with programme activity IDs and cost codes to enhance alignment between planning and risk.
  • Design and produce detailed risk reports, dashboards, and visualizations tailored to various stakeholders, ensuring clarity and precision.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance risk reporting methodologies and tools, implementing best practices to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Assisting the risk team to prepare appropriate data to assist in conducting quantitative cost and schedule risk assessment (QCRA and QSRA).
  • Providing information to assist risk reporting in an appropriate way for different audiences (e.g., Project Director, Department Heads, SCS Board, etc.).
  • Assisting the risk team to keep the Risk management tool up to date.

About the Company

The role will work on the HS2 project. HS2 is the UK’s new high-speed rail network. It will be a catalyst for economic growth across Britain, freeing up space on the existing railways and connecting 8 out of the UK’s 10 biggest cities with fast, reliable and frequent high-speed services.

The Skanska | Costain | STRABAG (SCS JV) is delivering the HS2 London Tunnels Contract. Scope of works includes twin-bored tunnels (TBM), SCL tunnels, shaft sinking, bridge demolition and reconstruction, services diversions, earthworks and the construction of site compounds.
