Hawkwood is currently partnering with one of the largest crypto-native algorithmic trading companies in their search for a Human Resources Lead.

Since being Founded in 2017, our client has grown to 130 employees in the UK and Singapore and soon to be New York. As their HR Lead you will be responsible for driving a super commercial, data-driven People function!

Our client operates in a high-performing environment, attracting super-smart and driven individuals who are passionate about technology, innovation, challenging the status quo, and having a direct impact on company performance. This is an owner-executor role, meaning responsibilities range from driving strategic HR projects to being very hands-on with HR operations.

You will own:

  • Scaling and operationalising the company’s values and ways of doing business to ensure those are distilled throughout the organisation.
  • Working closely with management and team leads to assist in the management of their teams.
  • Owning and executing HR operations: employee onboarding and lifecycle management, HR system management and documentation, payroll coordination with finance, HR policies, and liaising with employment lawyers as needed.
  • Ownership and execution of HR operations related to visas, relocation, etc.
  • Initiation and execution of improvement projects in relation to processes, automation, and HR system efficiency.
  • Organisation and coordination of bi-annual performance and compensation review cycles.

What we're looking for:

  • 5+ years of HR Generalist experience within a high-growth, high-performing environment.
  • Alternatively, 5-8 years of experience in a non-HR function, e.g., consulting, strategy & operations, with a strong interest in moving to a people function.
  • Extensive experience managing performance review cycles, HR operations, compensation, and driving employee initiatives.
  • An ownership/action-oriented mentality: doing whatever needs to be done to achieve the goals, from initiating improvements to effective execution of operational tasks.
  • Confidence with Excel/data sets and technology tools such as HR systems.
  • Experience scaling company values and driving a high-performance environment.
  • Desirable: experience working within a Trading firm.
