Russell Taylor has a fantastic opportunity for a Technical Assessor/Auditor to join our highly respected Testing & Inspection client, known for their gold standard in work and interesting projects which makes them unique to the other TIC organisations. This is a national based role, so our client is looking for someone who is located in an area with good motorway links (Midlands, Leeds, Manchester etc).

Responsibilities
  1. Undertake new and existing Management Systems, Product Certification and factory production control assessments at client manufacturing sites across the UK and potentially overseas in the future.
  2. Conduct quality, environmental, occupational health & safety and site-specific assessments ensuring compliance to scheme requirements.
  3. Write up clear and concise reports after the audit has been completed - this will be completed in the comfort of your own home but will need to be completed to a set deadline.
  4. Assess new and existing factory production processes.
  5. Assess the management systems against the requirements of ISO 9001, ISO 45001 & ISO 14001 and make decisions on compliance.
  6. Provide reports on QMS.
  7. Liaise with clients and staff to ensure effective execution and communication of work to be carried out.
  8. Manage own diary and travel arrangements.
  9. Support inexperienced assessors.
  10. Proactively identify opportunities and sales leads, passing on the leads to relevant staff.
  11. Attend training courses and update skills as and when required.
The Person
  1. Previous experience as an assessor.
  2. Experience of auditing management systems - particularly ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & 45001.
  3. Happy to travel around the UK on a daily basis and be prepared to travel internationally when required.
  4. Customer focused with a good understanding of clients' needs and expectations.
  5. Happy and able to work independently.
  6. Remain calm under pressure.
