Job Title: Skilled Production Operative

Hourly Rate: £12.32 - £12.78 - NEW APRIL RATE NOT YET CONFIRMED

Working Pattern: Full Time (4 on 4 off: 7am- 7pm, 7pm- 7am)

Our client, a leading manufacturing organisation in the Melton Mowbray area, is currently seeking a Skilled Production Operative to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a reputable company in the manufacturing industry.

What are we looking for?

1. Experience in a factory or warehouse environment as machine operator or similar.
2. Forklift Truck licence would be a nice to have but not crucial.
3. Good interpersonal and communication skills, able to work collaboratively with colleagues.
4. Able to accurately record data and use a computer.
5. Positive, can-do attitude.

Responsibilities:

1. Operate machinery on their line in accordance with standard operating procedures.
2. Ensure comprehensive records and logs are maintained and effective shift handovers are carried out.
3. Conduct regular quality checks to ensure we are producing first class products.
4. Identification and resolution of basic faults in processes or machines in your area.
5. Report and escalate any concerns and issues.
6. Follow strict Health and Safety protocols to ensure safety to you and those around you.

Requirements:

1. GCSE level in English and Maths at Grade C or above or equivalent.
2. Good team player with a flexible approach.
3. Excellent communication skills.
4. Ability to learn PC based systems.
5. Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.

This role offers a competitive hourly rate of £12.32 - £12.78 and follows a 4 on 4 off shift pattern (7am- 7pm, 7pm- 7am).
