The Role:

Portsmouth School of Law is seeking to appoint full-time academic teaching staff (Teaching Fellow, Senior Teaching Fellow, Lecturer, Senior Lecturer, or Associate Professor depending on experience) with expertise to teach on our expanding undergraduate and postgraduate courses. In particular, we are seeking candidates with experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • European Union Law
  • Land Law
  • Equity and Trusts
  • Legal Clinic Supervision
  • Contract Law
  • Public Law
  • Tort Law
  • Data Protection Law

The successful candidate is expected to contribute to the design, delivery, and administration of core and specialist Law modules at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels and will have drive and a commitment to excellence in learning and teaching.

We have a thriving and supportive research culture that will encourage a successful candidate for a Lecturer, Senior Lecturer, or Associate Professor position to pursue their research ambitions.

The salary range for these positions are:

  • Lecturer - £40,247 - £43,878 per annum
  • Teaching Fellow - £40,247 - £43,878 per annum
  • Senior Lecturer - £45,163 - £55,295 per annum
  • Senior Teaching Fellow - £45,163 - £55,295 per annum
  • Associate Professor - £56,921 - £65,814 per annum
