Kiwa Building Products have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Project Manager to join our growing team. The successful applicant will have an engineering or construction related qualification, proven project management skills and the ability to work on multiple projects at a time. Work experience within the construction sector is required, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a growing team. The successful applicant will be confident in carrying out technical assessments for building products and systems including site and factory audits, all within specified timescales and budget. This is a home based role, with occasional travel.
Overview:
The purpose of the role is to review, research and assess construction products and systems with a view to determining if they are ‘fit for purpose’ in relation to the relevant standards and national Building Regulations. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing projects effectively to ensure timely and budget-conscious completion.
- Communicating with clients, setting expectations, and providing progress updates.
- Writing assessments and preparing draft Agréments to a high editorial standard.
- Organizing workload strategically to keep projects on track.
- Collaborating with colleagues and supporting team success.
- Assisting management in business development initiatives.
- Representing Kiwa at industry events and contributing to technical publications.
Responsibilities:
- A recognised qualification in the Engineering / Construction field
- Knowledge of construction products, including relevant standards and Codes
- Knowledge of national Building Regulation in relation to building products and systems
- Experience in a similar Project Management role in a construction-related field
- Experience in structural Engineering will be beneficial
- Drive and enthusiasm
- Excellent communication skills and interpersonal relations at all levels
- Excellent planning and organisational skills
- Qualification to a degree level in a construction / engineering related discipline
- Proactive and methodical approach
- Team player but able to work independently
- Full driving licence
