Plumbing and General Maintenance Role - Permanent Position

We are currently seeking a skilled Plumber for a permanent position within a large office building environment. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the maintenance and upkeep of a key government facility.

Role Overview:

1. Working Hours: 40 hours per week with variable start times of 07:00 - 15:30 or 09:30 - 18:00.
2. On-call Rota: 1 in 3 on-call shifts, with an on-call allowance of £147.90.
3. Salary: £33,000 per annum (including on-call allowance) with a salary uplift to approximately £35,000 (based on PAYE Direct rate of £15.87 per hour or £19.87 per hour Umbrella).

Key Responsibilities:

1. Undertake various Plumbing tasks and carry out general maintenance across the building.
2. Ensure all plumbing systems are fully operational and up to required standards.
3. Provide essential support for maintenance work in line with health and safety and company protocols.

Key Skills & Requirements:

1. Plumbing qualifications: Minimum requirement of a City & Guilds qualification or equivalent.
2. Previous experience in a large office building environment is preferred.
3. DBS and CTC checks will be required upon recruitment (ONS requirement).
4. UK residency of 3 years or more is necessary (ONS requirement).
5. A Drug & Alcohol test will be undertaken during the first month of placement for critical roles.
6. Basic DBS check required at recruitment, with further CTC checks to be completed during employment by the ONS.

Additional Information:

1. Knowledge of VINCI FM and an understanding of the ONS role will be beneficial.
