About the Company

My client is a supplier of mechanical, hydrodynamic, electrical, hydraulic, and electronic drive and braking systems. They are the market leader worldwide for hydrodynamic transmissions. Their core activities are as follows:

1. For energy and oil & gas industries: hydrodynamic couplings (fluid couplings), variable speed planetary gear units, turbo gear units, hydrodynamic torque converters, and actuating and control technology.
2. For industries including steel, mining, and metalworking: Fluid couplings, hydraulic systems and components, Hirth serrations, high-performance cardan shafts, safety couplings, and highly flexible couplings.
3. For road vehicles: automatic transmissions for buses, hydrodynamic retarders, air compressors, and VIAB turbo-retarder clutches as well as vibration dampers for agricultural machinery.
4. For rail vehicles: drive systems like turbo gear units, wheelset gear units, traction inverters, cardan shafts, cooling systems, Scharfenberg couplers, and front ends.

2. Monday - Thursday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, Friday 8:30 am - 3:30 pm (36.5-hour working week)
3. Salary: £50k - £60k (dependent on experience)
4. Annual Bonus (pro rata on year of joining)

Minimum Requirements

1. Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or electrical engineering
2. Prior experience in field services or engineering/automotive industry
3. Strong knowledge of commercial automotive systems and components
4. Basic understanding of Matlab/Simulink/Stateflow
5. Proficient in C/C++ programming
6. Capable of handling Vector CANalyzer and Vector Toolchain
