Job description

VEA Telecoms UK are currently recruiting for the role of a Civils Operative, based in Manchester, but requiring the ability to work across various sites in Manchester, Birmingham, and Cumbria weekly.

Due to the high amount of risk involved in this job, Civils Operatives must be responsible individuals with great attention to safety precautions. The ideal candidate must also have experience in different kinds of groundworks.

Key responsibilities:

1. Take responsibility for the safety, quality, and environmental elements of your work site and the welfare of your fellow employees.
2. Plan and coordinate site works in accordance with the instructions of the client and the Operations Manager.
3. Ensure that equipment, materials, and site arrangements are ready at the beginning of the day; you may be required to start early to organize this.
4. Carry out daily risk assessments and ensure all safety, health, and environmental requirements are undertaken to maintain a consistent, safe delivery of service.
5. Experience in dealing with blockages and reinstatements.
