Are you passionate about creating extraordinary immersive experiences? Do you thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment? If you’re a motivated and friendly individual with experience in immersive audio-visual technology, we want you to be a part of our Production & Technical team!

About the Role: As an Audio-Visual Technician, you'll play a key role in shaping the future of immersive entertainment with the UK's leading immersive experience company. Working alongside the Creative and Production departments, you’ll help bring to life cutting-edge projects for iconic experiences like The Crystal Maze, Chaos Karts, and Pac-Man.

Your experience with immersive tech and enthusiasm for innovative projects will be crucial as you oversee the installation, programming, and maintenance of a range of advanced AV systems. You'll also provide vital support for troubleshooting and help develop exciting new immersive experiences.

While the core hours are Monday to Friday (9am – 5pm), flexibility is required, with occasional evening and weekend work during peak periods.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Tech Ownership: Take charge of deploying and integrating immersive AV technologies, including projection mapping, media servers, and real-time content generation.
  • Collaboration: Work with the Creative, Production, and Operations teams, contributing to the design and maintenance of immersive environments.
  • Project Support: Support external project managers and suppliers, ensuring timely delivery of innovative projects.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Create and maintain technical documentation, including schematics and operational guidelines, for all projects across the portfolio.
  • Continuous Development: Stay updated on industry trends, tools, and techniques, and propose ways to improve our practices and workflows.

Additional Duties:

  • Troubleshoot technical challenges and offer creative solutions alongside the Director of Product and Head of Production & Technical.
  • Develop strong relationships with colleagues, clients, and suppliers, supporting the growth of our projects and collaborations.
  • Ensure safety standards and compliance across all sites, with a focus on health and safety regulations.

Skills and Experience (Preferred):

  • Show Control Systems: Experience with Medialon, Q-SYS, Q-LAB.
  • Media Servers: Expertise with platforms like 7th Sense.
  • Projector Systems: Installation, alignment, and blending.
  • Object Tracking Systems: Knowledge of systems like Blacktrax.
  • Game Engines: Familiarity with Unity and Unreal.
  • Networking: Experience in data network design and implementation.
  • Audio/Lighting: Understanding of professional audio and lighting best practices.
  • Immersive Environments: Proven experience in creating large-scale immersive experiences.
  • International Builds: Experience with international venue builds.
  • Programming Skills: Expertise in Arduino/micro-PC and game ideation/design.
  • Additional Skills: Video editing, rack building, soldering, and electronics.
