As a Welder, you will be responsible for setting up and aligning parts per blueprint in preparation for welding and for performing welding operations. Reporting directly to the General Manager, this position is based in Medway, MA.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

1. Education:
   1. HS diploma or GED preferred.
   2. At least 2 years of experience required.
   3. At least 2 years of welding experience.
   4. Welding certification, required.
   5. MIG/TIG welding experience.
   6. Intermediate blueprint reading.
2. Experience & Skills:
   1. Ability to read blueprints beyond a basic level, including orientation and symbols.
   2. Experience using hand tools (screwdrivers, pliers), grinders, and millimeter tape measures.
   3. Familiarity with suage equipment (pneumatic system for pinching materials).
   4. Experience with soldering and working on circuit boards.
   5. Comfortable using overhead cranes to move large equipment.
3. Work Ethic & Expectations:
   1. Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work with large equipment.
   2. Punctuality is important – being on time is required for this role.
   3. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.
   4. Detail-oriented and capable of thinking on the fly as projects evolve.
   5. Ability to collaborate across departments without a direct lead while maintaining respect and professionalism.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

1. References blueprint and confers with Lead person to determine job requirements.
2. MIG welding on aluminum conductors.
3. Gathers necessary materials and performs layout per specifications.
4. Sets up welding machine and adjusts settings.
5. Operates welding gun to weld aluminum pieces together.
6. Visually examines welds for adherence to quality standards; rewelds defective joints and does some minor grinding when needed.
7. Operates cutting torch and manual plasma cutter as needed.
8. Applies weld stencil and notifies Lead person or Inspector when product is ready for inspection.
9. Performs ongoing housekeeping duties to keep work area clear of scrap and debris.
