Our Planning & Logistics Team are looking to add a Senior Planner into their team.

Core Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to the planning team on complex cases.
  • Incorporate Manufacturing Planning, Engineering Planning, QC Planning, QA Planning & Logistics Planning according to demand and quality standards.
  • Produce capacity plan detail to enable forward planning of manufacturing areas.
  • Coordinate workflow for multiple products.
  • Plan and prioritize to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay.
  • Determine testing services, manpower, equipment, services and raw materials needed to cover production demand to meet MPS.
  • Feed changes to plan into Master Production Schedule / Supply plan & MPS.
  • Plan activities with service providers aligning to planned shutdowns or services.
  • Be key liaison with external labs to plan and forecast samples coming from manufacturing.
  • Take the lead at the weekly planning meeting (for your respective planning area).
  • Monitor jobs/testing/tasks/trackers to ensure activities will finish on time and within budget.
  • Address issues when they arise aiming for minimum disruption.
  • Obtain output information (number of finished tests/products, on time delivery, percentage of defectives etc).
  • Prepare and submit status and performance KPI reports.
  • Support and drive effective communications and execution of tasks through daily group planning meetings.
  • Create ‘what if’ scenarios based upon operational requirements.
  • Maintain planning tools to provide visibility of tasks and progression reporting back to planning group.
  • Coordinate external service providers' expectations on planning activities for shutdowns and servicing.
  • Manage and control usage of materials feeding back into the planning and supply chain function.
  • Raise requisitions for services and obtain appropriate signatory for external activities.
  • Effectively manage deviations, CAPA and change controls.
  • Provide support to the department and contribute to an environment of energy, enthusiasm, empowerment, continuous improvement and motivation.
  • Provide site-wide visibility of the plan for upcoming activities for the weeks and months ahead.
  • Monitor capacity and utilization through weekly planning meetings.
  • Undertake any other duties as requested by the line manager in accordance with company requirements.
  • Ensure daily planning team and weekly planning meetings maintain momentum, stay positive and productive.
  • Be proactive by looking for improvement opportunities and guide planners to maintain professionalism with clear communication.
