Behaviour Mentor - Criminology Graduates

Full Time - ASAP Start

Are you passionate about promoting young people's mental well-being? Could you help students approach and handle different social, emotional and mental health needs?

An outstanding school in the Reading area has an opportunity for a graduate to join their support staff team as a Behaviour Mentor on a full-time basis. The specialist school provides education to students with varying social, emotional, and mental health needs. In the role of a Behaviour Mentor, you will be supporting students that have additional needs, with some facing challenges relating to developmental trauma and neglect. Your role is to provide these young people with the required consistency and patience in order to help them achieve an education. Students at this school will benefit from 1-1 guidance and support, helping them to regulate their thoughts and process their emotions in a healthy manner.

Psychology graduates will find the role of Behaviour Mentor to be an AMAZING chance to gain frontline experience and mentoring from professionals based at the school, learning communication skills and how to support children with considerable emotional needs in a classroom environment. This interactive and hands-on experience will be invaluable if you are looking to pursue a career in Psychology, Therapy, Counselling, or even Criminal Justice.
