The successful candidate will lead corporate engagement initiatives, collaborate on climate projects, and act as a liaison for climate-related queries. Our client, a highly regarded institutional asset management firm is looking to hire an ESG Engagement Associate with a specialist climate focus. The successful candidate will be responsible for shaping the firm’s response to the climate challenge and the firm’s Net Zero commitment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Drive corporate engagement activities and develop an engagement agenda.
  2. Research themes for engagement and collaborate with portfolio managers and analysts to prioritise objectives.
  3. Key point of contact for internal and external climate queries.
  4. Engage with climate experts in the industry and demonstrate leadership in this area.
  5. Build important working relationships with Investment team and assist with climate-related projects.
  6. Contribute to presentations for existing and prospective clients.

Candidate Profile:

  1. Relevant work experience in an ESG engagement role at an asset manager or complementary field, preferably consulting or an environmental/climate expert role.
  2. Proven climate knowledge.
  3. Understanding of institutional investors and financial markets.
  4. Proven presentation, communication and influencing skills.
  5. Driven, strategic thinking and ability to manage and strengthen working relationships.
  6. Ability to engage with clients, corporates and industry bodies at a high level.
