Multi-Site Transport Manager – South West

Location: Covering sites across Cornwall, Devon, Exeter and South Wales (You will need to be based along the M5 corridor)

Salary: £48-55,000 + company vehicle + performance based bonus

We are supporting a brand leader in the search for a Multi-Site Transport Manager to oversee their transport operations across key South West sites. This role is pure transport management with a laser focus on compliance, driver oversight, and vehicle safety.

The Role:

As the Transport Manager, you will provide hands-on leadership across four locations, overseeing a fleet of Flat bed 14 tonne vehicles and small 44 tonne articulated lorries, ensuring that all operations meet Operator Licence (O-Licence) requirements and exceed DVSA compliance standards. This is a highly visible, on-the-ground role - you’ll be spending your days on sites so, must be comfortable with the area coverage required for this role.

Your core responsibilities will include:

1. Ensuring full O-Licence compliance, including tachograph management, driver hours, WTD, and vehicle maintenance.
2. Engaging with a team of professional drivers operating 7 days a week (early starts, no nights).
3. Liaising with workshops to maintain vehicle safety, LOLER checks, and planned maintenance schedules.
4. Conducting driver debriefs that are meaningful, ensuring accountability and adherence to legal requirements.
5. Preparing for internal and external audits, ensuring every site is inspection ready.
6. Working with planners to ensure robust delivery schedules are adhered to.
7. Manage checks and controls to uphold fleet safety and reliability collaborating with vehicle maintenance service providers to minimise downtime.

What We’re Looking For:

Must have:

1. National CPC (International also welcome).
2. ADR certificate or experience with hazardous goods.
3. Proven experience as a dedicated Transport Manager, ideally across multiple sites.
4. A deep understanding of O-Licence undertakings and DVSA compliance.
5. Strong driver engagement skills - you know how to motivate, support, and challenge drivers to operate legally and professionally.
6. Formal safety qualification IOSHH, NEBOSH.
7. Competency in Microsoft Office (Excel especially) and familiarity with fleet systems like TrakM8 and TruTac.
8. Experience managing multi-drop operations.
9. Background in regulated industries or high-compliance environments.
