Salary: £40,000 - £60,000 (depending on location and experience)

This is a great job for someone who is passionate about supplier relationship management, with a proven track record of delivering results in a collaborative environment. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on variety, balancing stakeholder collaboration, risk management, negotiation, process improvement, and connecting the dots between the Aviva customer and our contractual commitments while fostering a true partnership with our Partner.

Our relationships and roles span the breadth of Aviva products and having a strong background in Life and Pensions, Equity Release & Annuity or wider Financial Services end to end customer outcomes would be valuable.

A bit about the job:

We are seeking experienced professionals to step into key additional roles within our Outsourcing team, across a variety of our strategic partners. These are exciting opportunities to work in a dynamic environment where partnership and collaboration are central to success.

The Relationship Manager (RM) is a pivotal role, overseeing established Business Process Outsourcing, IT Outsourcing, Document Services and Professional Service partners, providing a number of services across Aviva’s IWR business. You will act as a bridge between Aviva and our Partner, ensuring mutual success by:

  • Building and nurturing a strong, collaborative partnership with our Partner to achieve shared goals and deliver exceptional outcomes for Aviva and its customers.
  • Driving operational excellence for our customers through the review and refinement of processes, forecasts, policies, and procedures.
  • Managing service levels and resolving challenges while maintaining a relationship-first approach to ensure alignment and performance improvement.
  • Acting as a trusted advisor to key areas within Aviva, ensuring their needs and the needs of our customers are met and supported by the Partner effectively.

This is an opportunity for someone who can combine technical expertise with a relationship-focused approach, ensuring our partnership delivers value and innovation.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

  • Relevant Industry Experience: A background in Life and Pensions, Equity Release & Annuity or wider Financial Services is highly desirable. Professional qualifications such as CIPS, IACCM, or equivalent are preferred.
  • Supplier & Stakeholder Relationship Management: Exceptional interpersonal skills to build and maintain trust-based relationships with both our Partner and internal stakeholders, fostering collaboration, alignment, and continuous improvement.
  • Risk & Compliance Management: Experience identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks while ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory, and industry standards.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: A proven ability to interpret data, identify trends, and resolve issues to improve performance and enhance supplier efficiency.
  • Contract Management Expertise: Demonstrable post-deal contract management experience, including drafting terms, negotiating, and ensuring adherence to contract terms. A focus on maximizing value while maintaining compliance is essential.
  • Commercial Acumen: Proven ability to deliver cost efficiency and added value from contracts, with a sound understanding of financial and business principles.

What you’ll get for this role:

  • Salary around £40,000 - £60,000 - depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications.
  • Bonus opportunity - 10% of annual salary. Actual amount depends on your performance and Aviva’s.
  • Generous pension scheme - Aviva will contribute up to 14%, depending on what you put in.
  • 29 days holiday plus bank holidays, and you can choose to buy or sell up to 5 days.
  • Make your money go further - Up to 40% discount on Aviva products, and other retailer discounts.
  • Up to £1,200 of free Aviva shares per year through our Matching Share Plan and share in the success of Aviva with our Save As You Earn scheme.
  • Brilliantly supportive policies including parental and carer’s leave.
  • Flexible benefits to suit you, including sustainability options such as cycle to work.
  • Make a difference, be part of our Aviva Communities and use your 3 paid volunteering days to help others.
  • We take your wellbeing seriously with lots of support and tools.
