The Technology department is Quilter Group’s primary engine for the delivery of business and technology change including the provision of robust infrastructure and IT service operations that everyone can depend upon.

Main Purpose of Role:
To ensure the delivery of multi-sized technical projects to meet specific business plan objectives. Leading a team of professionals and third parties and working in partnership with the business to deliver to agreed scope, to time, cost, quality, risk appetite and budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead technical projects working in close partnership with key stakeholders to ensure delivery in line with agreed milestones, priorities, set quality standards, and budget.
- Understand and clearly document the business objectives and critical success factors for the project.
- Define the project organisation structure and resourcing model and plan the project and approach, considering dependencies and constraints in line with the agreed governance process, reporting, and planning standards.
- Build strong relationships with all stakeholders through communication and engagement to become a trusted partner; resolving issues, searching for solutions, and understanding opportunities to ensure delivery.
- Collaborate with internal technical teams, third parties, and business SMEs to ensure they work effectively, utilising knowledge, skills, resources, and experience that are available.
- Ensure the project and work stream plans are produced, actively maintained, and contain the appropriate detail.
- Manage the project from inception to delivery, with responsibility for day-to-day delivery on time, on budget, and to schedule through effective leadership, direction, consultation, and facilitation.
- Maintain acute awareness and management of project risks and issues ensuring that they are impact-assessed, mitigated, and escalated where appropriate.
- Manage project reviews and checkpoints to the agreed standards.
- Proactively seek opportunities to share knowledge and experience to enhance the capabilities/processes within the team and the wider Group Technology Solutions team.
- Act as an ambassador for Technology, role modelling our core values and leading by example.
- Take responsibility for personal development ensuring that a personal development plan is maintained.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Proven track record of delivering technical change covering implementation of new services, IT transformation, remediation, integration, or migrations.
- Ability to successfully influence and challenge senior stakeholders to achieve strategic outcomes for the business.
- Team player, with strong results focus and high levels of initiative and innovation; able to collaborate across all levels, functions, and businesses to drive strategic outcomes.
- Demonstrable experience and understanding of change techniques.
- Delivers on commitments and creates a culture of ownership and team responsibility within projects.
- The ability to find ways of solving or pre-empting problems.
- Delivery using 3rd parties across multiple geographies and business units.
- Experience working with technical SMEs specialising in applications and infrastructure; servers, networks, data, storage, middleware, and telephony.
- Knowledge of frameworks such as ITIL and the Development Lifecycle.
- In-depth knowledge and demonstrable application of different project delivery methodologies including Agile.
- Strong working knowledge of Jira or DevOps boards would be an advantage.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills demonstrating the ability to translate technical and complex challenges into simple, clear updates, issues, and/or risks for senior stakeholders.
Qualifications Required:
Essential: Prince2, PMQ or MSP or Equivalent
Desirable: Evidence of equivalent experience in Financial Services
