This ever-evolving public sector organisation is currently seeking a Finance Business Partner to join their team on a permanent basis. This role is pivotal in bridging the gap between finance and operational leadership, ensuring budget holders have the insights they need to make informed financial decisions that impact both forces.

The key duties of this Finance Business Partner role are as follows:

• Partner with senior leaders to provide financial insights, challenge assumptions, and drive sound decision-making, ensuring financial sustainability and value for money.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes, translating complex financial data into actionable strategies that support organisational priorities.
• Develop a thorough understanding of business operations to anticipate financial challenges and opportunities, proactively advising stakeholders on financial best practices.
• Act as a trusted financial advisor, ensuring that business cases, spending reviews, and investment decisions are robust, data-driven, and aligned with strategic objectives.
• Embed financial awareness across operational teams, equipping non-finance staff with the knowledge and tools needed for effective financial management.

The successful candidate will have:

• Fully qualified as an accountancy professional, or be a finalist.
• Proven experience in management accounting and finance business partnering.

• Ability to work proactively in a fast-paced, decision-driven environment.
• Ideally, a background working in the public sector, but this is by no means essential.
