VP – Infrastructure Network Operations Lead

Our client is at the heart of the global FX ecosystem, making FX safer, smoother and more cost-effective for thousands of counterparties. They are seeking a VP – Infrastructure Network Operations Lead to play a pivotal role in optimising their network and data centre operations. This London-based role offers a competitive salary range of £100,000 - £120,000. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work within an inclusive environment that encourages openness and forward-thinking.

What you'll do:

  1. Lead daily operations tasks involving build, deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting of datacenter and enterprise network.
  2. Develop and maintain clear documentation for all operational processes.
  3. Collaborate closely with engineering team and managed service provider to resolve complex issues.
  4. Enhance network monitoring by understanding current infrastructure monitoring capabilities.
  5. Adhere to incident management processes ensuring rapid response to network issues.
  6. Serve as a liaison between Level 2 (Operations) and Level 3 (Engineering) during incident response.
  7. Provide expert-level support for complex network troubleshooting.

What you bring:

  1. Proven hands-on experience with network technologies within enterprise & datacenter infrastructure.
  2. Strong background in establishing and refining network operations processes.
  3. Ability to mentor technical teams and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  4. Keen interest in research and continuous learning of emerging technologies.
  5. Experience with deploying VPCs in AWS to enable communication with on-prem networks.
  6. Good understanding of SolarWinds alert monitoring system.
