Job description

Dementia Care Assistant for a person P/T @ £13.74/hr in Berwick-upon-Tweed - FTE - £26.8k - Berwick-upon-Tweed - TD15

Lady in Berwick area requires an enabler to support with 5hrs per week. Hours to be arranged flexibly but ideally 2.5hrs on 2 days – No evenings or weekends.
Driver Required: Driver required with business use insurance.
Experience: Experience preferred but not essential.
Hours of Work: 5hrs per week.
Rates of Pay: £13.74 per hour.
Main Duties:
  1. Support to assist the client to make a shopping list and to obtain shopping on her behalf.
  2. Worker must be capable of building up a relationship with client and offer reassurance and understanding when problems arise.
Personal Specification:
  • Honest, reliable and caring nature.
  • Punctual and trustworthy.
  • Respect confidentiality.
Further Information: An Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Certificate (DBS) will have to be obtained for the successful candidate (at employer’s expense).
Training: Where it is required, such as in Health and Safety matters, practical training and guidance will be arranged, and the care worker will be expected to attend.
