Special Melted Products Limited are looking for an Apprentice Maintenance Technician to complete a Level 3 Mechatronics Maintenance Technician apprenticeship to join their team.

Special Melted Products are a manufacturer of Super Alloys that are used in critical applications for the Aerospace, Oil & Gas, and Civil Nuclear industries. At Special Melted Products we have a long history, with a metals production lineage dating back to the 1800s. Our headquarters and main operational facilities are in Sheffield, UK where we occupy 3 sites in close proximity with significant melting, forging, and machining capabilities. Now is a great time to join Special Melted Products as we are one of the few UK manufacturers of high-integrity re-melted materials and components. We are planning to increase our current production capacity through a capital expansion plan, potentially including the UK’s first 10,000 tonne super alloy press forge facility.
Things to Consider:
During the first year, you will be required to attend the University of Sheffield AMRC Training Centre in Sheffield, full time for an initial block of study. You will return to your workplace one Friday per month. After the initial block training, you will attend the AMRC Training Centre for one day a week to undertake the knowledge study. The remaining four days will be spent in company learning on the job.

Advanced Apprenticeships Entry Requirements:
Applicants are also required to successfully complete a series of assessments at the University of Sheffield’s AMRC Training Centre, as well as an employer recruitment and selection process to secure a place on an apprenticeship programme.
