Job Title: Residential Care Worker

Location: Uxbridge, London

Salary: £21,891.66 - £22,868.75 per annum

Job type: Part time, Permanent

Hours: 25 Hours per week

About The Role

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to provide high-quality care to individuals with complex health needs and intellectual disabilities. In this rewarding role, you will empower service users to live more independently, achieve their personal goals, and enhance their quality of life. Your work will involve tailored support, developing individualised care plans, facilitating community access, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards. You will collaborate with professionals, relatives, and other carers to provide person-centred care that meets the diverse needs of service users.

About You

Essential Criteria:

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  1. Qualifications & Experience: QCF/Diploma Level 2 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent) and at least two years' experience in a similar role.
  2. Communication & Teamwork: Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to write care plans, risk assessments, and work collaboratively with professionals.
  3. Adaptability & Proactivity: Ability to respond to changing care needs, proactively safeguard residents, and manage incidents effectively.
  4. Knowledge & Compliance: Understanding of key legislation (Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005, Equality Act 2010, DoLS) and commitment to best care practices.
  5. Empathy & Emotional Intelligence: Sensitivity to service users' strengths and needs, ensuring a supportive and respectful approach.
  6. Commitment to Professional Development: Willingness to engage in further qualifications and specialist training in Dementia Care, Autism, and End of Life Care.
