About Our Client

Our client is a well-established institution within the educational sector, based in Oxford.

Job Description

Based on site (Parking is available). Office 4 days per week, 1 day from home.

Under the supervision of the Controller, the Management Accountant is responsible for executing budgeting, ongoing forecasting, variance analysis, and reporting. This will involve periodic interfacing with other heads of departments and understanding College key priorities and activities.

The Management Accountant will support the Controller in all endowment administration activities, including reviewing relevant accounting entries and working with external service providers such as banks, fund managers, and investment advisors.

The Management Accountant will be assigned direct responsibilities for project accounting activities in College subsidiaries where development and capex projects take place.

Under the supervision of the College Accountant, the Management Accountant will also be involved in the taxation affairs of the College, including VAT, PAYE, and Corporation tax as required.

This position will also involve financial process reviews, data analysis, and ad hoc projects from time to time.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Management Accountant should have:

• An accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent Business Partnering experience
• A proactive approach to work
• Ideally experience of Endowments
