Design Engineer

Salary:up to £35,000 (DOE)

NXT Recruitment is proud to be supporting a local business in automation solutions who are expanding! Our client is seeking a skilled Design Engineer. The successful candidate should have a high level of commercial acumen coupled with a good eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Designing new products from concept through to delivery
2. 3D CAD modelling and 2D draughting work
3. Estimating design, dimension, weight and tooling required to manufacture
4. Liaising with procurement to ensure products are delivered on time and to the right quality

Requirements:

1. Previous experience in the outlined responsibilities
2. Experience in 3D Mechanical CAD software or equivalent
3. Ability to design products, systems, processes, and layouts
4. Ability to create component drawings to a level that external suppliers can manufacture
5. Ability to create assembly drawings of complex products with exploded views & BOM tables
6. Good communication skills, both verbal and written
7. Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
