Salary: £51,248.57 (G8/Ac3) to £71,050.57 (G9/Ac4) per annum, inclusive of London Allowance

Location: Bloomsbury, Camden, Greater London, United Kingdom, WC1H 0XG

Hours: 35

About the Role:

The Department of Economics invites applications for two posts to be appointed as Lecturer, Senior Lecturer or Reader in Economics. The Department is looking to recruit an outstanding economist with an excellent record in research, teaching and academic citizenship who will contribute to the mission of the Department, as one of the leading heterodox economics and political economy departments in the UK, with particular regional expertise in Asia, Africa and the Middle East as well as Europe and Latin America.

The candidate will have demonstrable capacity to improve the academic standing of the University by carrying out and publishing research of the highest quality and by lecturing and tutoring students to a high academic standard. The candidate is also expected to demonstrate capability in providing academic leadership up to the senior level (for a Reader) and ability to receive external funding for research and knowledge exchange activities (for a Senior Lecturer and Reader).
