Annual wage: £14,722.50 a year
Training course: Assistant accountant (level 3)
Hours: Monday to Friday, Start between 8am & 9.30am - finish between 4pm & 5.30pm (37 hours a week)
Possible start date: Thursday 12 December

Work
As an apprentice, you'll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You'll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you'll do at work
- Reconciling bank accounts
- Reconciling balance sheet accounts (e.g., VAT, PAYE)
- Entering accounts data onto Xero accounting software platform
- Recording and extracting bookkeeping data from Xero software and external client software
- Updating client records through Xero
- Ensuring money laundering checks are done at the start of every accounts job
- Covering reception during busy periods
- Meeting deadlines for assigned bookkeeping and accounts jobs

Your training courseAssistant accountant (level 3) - Equal to A level
Course contents- Assist with the investigation and response to financial information queries.
- Record and analyse financial data using the organisation's standard tools and processes.
- Apply double entry bookkeeping and accounting standards to process financial documents, generate financial statements, and report financial information to users of accounts.
- Assist with the production of accurate financial information for the preparation of accounts.
- Reconcile financial data, including preparation or review of reconciliations.
- Investigate, resolve, or escalate transactional queries and errors as appropriate.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders.
- Communicate financial information in an understandable way for non-finance stakeholders.
- Utilise digital skills to present key financial information using finance and accounting software.
- Use software packages for basic accounting tasks in line with cyber and data security requirements.
