Salary: Up to £45,000

What’s nearly getting to be as rare as a Unicorn, and is in high demand throughout the manufacturing industry?

Yes, you’ve got it – An Engineer!

Due to both demand and a business growth strategy, our client is recruiting a Production Engineer that will solely focus on enhancing production processes, systems, equipment and infrastructure. With a competitive salary and a Monday – Friday shift pattern, this role should turn a few heads!

Reporting to the Operations Director and working collaboratively with production, your focus will be on the implementation of advanced jig and fixture development for the department. This is a major focus alongside the revamp of the factory layout using AutoCAD in line with proposed changes to reduce factory footprint.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, develop and optimise production processes to improve efficiency, reduce cost, improve sustainability and maximise profitability.
  • Conduct time and motion studies to establish non-value added waste in the production processes and deliver waste reduction projects to improve deliverable productivity gains.
  • Design, test and run new and revised systems of work.
  • Research new equipment and make enhancements to machinery, infrastructure and tooling.
  • Liaise with design and engineering to aid the introduction of products designed for manufacture.
  • Conduct product studies to improve production efficiency, enhance quality and recommend future strategy.

Your engineering contribution will play a significant part in achieving our client's ambitious growth strategy.
