JOB TITLE: Cleaning Operative

LOCATION: Glasgow (G2 4AD)

REPORTING TO: Line Manager

PAY RATE: £11.44 per hour

HOURS: Monday- Friday 6-8am

ROLE OVERVIEW AND PURPOSE

As an ABM cleaning operative, your role will be to deliver cleaning services to client facilities in and around the building to a high standard. This includes cleaning floors in building reception areas, dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, picking up larger objects off the floor, and spot cleaning glass doors/windows, as well as cleaning all stainless-steel fixtures and barriers/glass door panels, and dry mopping black marble pillars inside and externally.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Clean and sanitize lifts, wipe all external & internal stainless-steel on lift doors/frames/lift runners, and remove all smudges from mirrors; sweep and mop floors.
2. Clean restroom(s)/showers, empty trash, clean and sanitize fixtures, clean mirrors, clean shower cubicle partition doors/walls, and sweep and mop tile floors.
3. Set up, stock, and maintain cleaning equipment and supplies.
4. Monitor and maintain sanitation and organization of assigned areas.
5. Assist team leaders/supervisors when needed to ensure optimum service to clients.
6. Perform additional duties as needed, within reason.
7. Comply with monthly training sessions delivered by the supervisor/line manager as necessary.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

1. Good inter-personal and communication skills.
2. Ability to use own initiative to identify and prioritize tasks.
3. Ability to work alone and as part of a team.
4. Approachable and courteous manner.
5. An understanding of the need for confidentiality and discretion in an active corporate building.
